I started BCD Digital because founders deserved better senior thinking, not another agency deck.

Over ten years across in-house growth, marketing and ecommerce teams, working with brands from $300k startups to $500M+ operators. The pattern was always the same: smart founders, awesome products, and a world of data that they needed turned into actionable strategies.

The story

What's broken about how most agencies work — and what BCD does instead.

I spent over a decade working inside and consulting with some of Australia's biggest digital success stories include in-house at Jumbo Interactive (Oz Lotteries) and Hismile, and consulting with brands such as Lucent Globe, Nakie, AgeMate, Weem, Move Active and Snap Wireless. Both seats taught me the same thing: Brands all want the same thing, growth, but in the mess of data and attribution, the ever-changing digital landscape, and conflicting information from "experts" on LinkedIn and best practices, no one knows where to focus their time.

If you want average results, follow best practice guides, if you want to scale, you need someone who is in your numbers, and understands your business.

BCD Digital is not an agency it's one senior practitioner, a small portfolio of clients, and the engagement contract that comes with that — fewer logos, more depth, written work over verbal. If you can read a P&L and you want someone who can argue with it on the merits, this is the room for that.

Philosophy

Three principles every engagement runs on.

These are not values on a wall. They are the rules of the engagement — what we will and will not do, written down where the client can hold us to it.

Show the numbers, always.

Every recommendation arrives with the working shown — the data we used, the assumptions we made, the size of the bet, the expected return. If we cannot quantify a recommendation, we say so.

Plain English, no padding.

A 25-page report that says one thing twice is worse than a five-page report that says it once. Findings get written like internal memos, not pitches. If a sentence does not move the decision, it gets cut.

Direct, not deferential.

If the campaign is bad, we say so. If the platform is wrong for the business, we say so. If the right move is to spend less, we say that too. Hedging chains help nobody.
